Netizens love to compare. It's not an assumption but a fact.

A post comparing YG artists' and SM artists' airport fashion has started when the idols recently appeared together at the airport.

Apparently, there was really something distinct to differentiate when the big groups of both agencies appeared on exactly opposite airport fashion.

To point it out, YG artists like 2NE1 and BIG BANG appeared very stylish and fashionable wearing the latest get ups and mostly rather unique. However, SM's Super Junior and SNSD preferred more comfortable and casual clothes but still looked in style.




As for the ladies, it's versus "Sexy and Innocent". 2NE1 girls chose to be sexy while SNSD girls appeared innocent. In particular, Park Bom is wearing shorts and black top that emphasized her curvy body and CL wore a sexy and sophisticated black slit dress. In contrary, Yoona and Seohyun wore comfortable dresses while Yuri enjoyed her simple t-shirt and white khaki pants.



As for the gentlemen, it's very obvious how they were able to carry their agencies' unique trademark when it comes to airport fashion. G-Dragon, who is known for his one of a kind sense of fashion, mixed and matched accessories and clothes to appear stylish and attractive. Same goes with Taeyang, who is rather a head turner with his over-sized white t-shirt with a sort of white "skirt" underneath. On the other hand, Super Junior's Donghae and Kangin didn't even bother to accessorize themselves and hit the airport on their most comfortable and neat look. Wearing simple white sleeveless and white polo shirt, Donghae and Kangin departed for Indonesia that day.

Nevertheless, there's really nothing to battle out. Both agencies have their own styles and loved by media and fans. Whether it doesn't match at all or too comfy for a celebrity's look, they are still being anticipated by fans and especially by media who were always present and claimed it's "worth the wait", just to see artists' 'airport fashion' so that we can have something to talk about.

It's going to be a back-to-back album release with Big Bang's G-Dragon and Taeyang.

YG has announced that G-Dragon is going to release his 2nd album on August 18 in line with the celebration of his 25th birthday. They've also confirmed that he'll be working with international performer and producer Missy Elliot.

Aside from this, they also release the expected date for Taeyang's 2nd album. They revealed that they are planning to release it in the beginning of September. This is the first one in 3 years after he released his first solo album in 2010.

For the fifth installment of his letter on YG-Life blog, YG Entertainment boss, Yang Hyun Suk, announced details of Big Bang’s G-Dragon’s solo album.

According to the post, G-Dragon will be returning with another self-produced album this year, in time of his upcoming birthday. His album is already drawing interest as popular female rapper, Missy Elliot, will be featured in it.

The post says:
When will G-Dragon be releasing his solo album?

On August 18 2009, G-Dragon released his first solo album with the celebration of his 21st birthday.
This year, he is planning to unveil another solo regular album on the same date as 4 years ago.

Just like the first album, he will be in charge of composing and writing every song, plus the album production.
The album will consist of 10 songs.

This weekend marks the finale of his grand solo World Tour. For the past few months
G-Dragon has been performing 25 times around the world, and the ending will be held in Singapore.
As soon as he crosses the finish line of his World Tour, he will be devoting his whole energy on another project,
which includes his album jacket shooting and wrapping-up process of his 2nd solo regular album.

His 2nd regular album is like pulling out a diamond from a treasure box
because the album was already in the process of making when a mini album was released last September.

What is special about G-Dragon’s 2nd solo album?

With the 2nd solo album, what we decided to do was to have one legendary foreign artist
feature in it rather than have several. There were many male rappers on the list,
but what YG was looking for was a female rapper – and there was just one. We found the answer so quickly
and we were unanimous on choosing this artist.

And she is – Missy Elliott.

If you know a tiny bit about hip-hop, you would know this legendary artist.
I feel that an introduction of her is unnecessary as everyone knows her, so here’s a very simple background.
She is a hip-hop legend who produced a huge number of big hits that set her apart from other artists.
If you are unfamiliar with hip-hop, just take a peek of her songs “Get Ur Freak On” and “Work It” on YouTube,
and you will recognize her in a matter of seconds.

Missy Elliott partnered with Timbaland, and their amazing synergy produced the following songs:
1997 – SUPA DUPA FLY (Album): “The Rain”
2001 – MISS E… SO ADDICTIVE (Album): “Get Ur Freak On” and “One Minute Man”
2002 – UNDER CONSTRUCTION (album): “Gossip Folks” and “Work It”
2005 – The Cook Book (album): “Lose Control”
These songs put her on a global stardom, and the musicians she teamed up with also include
top-notch artists like 50 Cent, Jay Z., Ludacris, Busta Rhymes, and Mary J. Blige.
But unfortunately she had to stop everything abruptly for health reasons,
which halted all music related activities including releasing another album.

This is why it was extra difficult for G-Dragon to ask her to feature in his song.

For the last several months, YG has spared no effort in asking Missy Elliott to feature in G-Dragon’s song.
We have been sending her G-Dragon-related information including his songs. And finally,
we were able to win her interest for G-Dragon’s creativity and music, and now she will be
featuring in G-Dragon’s new solo album.

This track is a song by YG’s main producer, Teddy, that has a very unique hip-hop beat like
other Missy Elliott’s tracks. Missy Elliott and G-Dragon exchanged ideas extensively over the phone,
and they decided that G-Dragon would come up with the lyrics and rap for demonstration,
which will be given to Missy Elliott in the U.S., who will then add her own rap to complete the song.

G-Dragon’s song featuring the female hip-hop legend breaks away from the convention
with a hint of Korean taste. The tinge of a voice sample from a Korean traditional folk song “Nilliliya”
makes it a one-of-a-kind, classy hip-hop track.

Diplo, the world-renowned DJ and a songwriter, who has been part of ‘Knock Out’,
will also be participating in this album.

YG Entertainment’s representative, Yang Hyun Suk, has recently detailed plans on YG’s two new boys groups and its debut through a post on the company’s official YG-Life blog.

According to Yang Hyun Suk, there are two boy groups in preparation at YG Entertainment with Superstar K’s Kang Seung Yoon, K-Pop Star’s Lee Seung Hoon and rapper B.I. who featured in MC Mong’s “Indian Boy” in 2009.

The two groups are currently referred to as ‘A’ and ‘B’, and they will be facing each other in the survival competition program called ‘WIN’. The winning team of the show will be named as “Winner” and they will get to debut on the day after the last episode airs.

The show will air one episode every week for 10 weeks starting from the second week of July.

For the third part of his letter on YG-Life blog, YG Entertainment boss, Yang Hyun Suk, announced details of Kang Seung Yoon’s official solo debut.

According to the post, the former ‘Superstar K2’ contestant, who originally scheduled to make a debut earlier this year, will finally release his first mini album after the pre-release “Wild And Young” on July 15th. “Wild And Young” was produced 1TYM’s Teddy and described to be a strong rock track, highlighting Kang Seung Yoon’s cool but powerful vocals.

It has been revealed that Kang Seung Yoon also started working on the music video of “Wild And Young” with director Han Sa Min, who also directed Big Bang’s “BLUE” and 2NE1’s “LONELY”.

As promised on his recent post, YG Entertainment boss, Yang Hyun Suk, announce details of its upcoming new girl group through a follow-up post on YG-Life blog on June 19th.

According to Yang Hyun Suk, the new girl group is planning to debut in October, which is when 2NE1 is scheduled to release a mini album as well. The trilingual members are fluent in Korean, English and Japanese, and have an average of 17 year old. Having started out with 10 members, they are now going to debut with six members.
